Upcoming Feature Explained: Technophobe Training

 In my previous post, I spoke about a fairly specialized new set of features that were in the pipeline.  In this post, I’m giving a little insight into one of them.  What can you expect?  Some how-to’s and tutorials that will range from specific, tech based instructional content (ie: configuring wordpress in a certain way, how to graphic design etc..), to a “where’s the need” format that will provide support, instructions, and as much background knowledge as can be squeezed in for those who may be highly skilled, but feel lost (or outright reject any attempt) when it comes to using software and features to their potential.  What does this mean?  For some of you, it may seem like a series of topics that people should be able to figure out themselves.   We often take for granted, the fact that anybody who didn’t grow up in in the period where personal computers and home electronics  took off (or just plain didn’t grow up with much exposure/use of the tech), just don’t have that natural instinct and familiarity with how things function.  It doesn’t matter whether they are doctors or lawyers, farmers or trades workers…  I often see an almost panicked reaction as soon as any unfamiliar function or message pops up to greet this group.   They are likely to have whatever hardware or gadgets are the social norm at the time, but more often than not, it’s a lovely dust collecting paperweight. The remaining people in this group tend to reluctantly use only the very most basic functions and abilities.  They don’t realize or care that there is so much more available to them without needing a computer degree or a time consuming […]
